What We Offer
-
Following an ACL injury, it can be challenging to return to your peak level of performance safely. CORE Physical Therapy specializes in a comprehensive ACL rehab. Beginning with pre-hab to prepare you for your surgery and guiding you through an individualized, detailed rehab program so you don’t have to miss another season after an ACL injury regardless of which sport you play.
-
Scheduled for an upcoming surgery and nervous about bouncing back afterwards— Let us guide you through the pre-surgical and post-surgical process so you can optimize your outcomes and get the progress you want while minimizing pain and safely respecting the healing structures involved with any type of invasive procedure.
-
Optimal rehabilitation of a sports injury includes prevention, early recognition, and intervention as soon as possible. Your specific treatment plan and duration of recovery will vary depending on your specific injury, how severe the injury is, your health history, and whether your injury requires surgical intervention.
-
Return to sport testing is critical to ensure an athlete is ready to return to competition and to prevent future re-injury. Return to sport testing is commonly performed after lower body injuries and rehabilitation. At CORE Physical Therapy, our therapists provide a thorough, evidence-based functional return to sport test for athletes of all ages and specific to each athlete.
-
Manual therapy is a specialized physical therapy treatment method allowing physical therapists to mobilize joints and soft tissue with nothing more than our hands. This treatment form helps relieve pain, decrease restrictions, reduce swelling, and increase your range of motion.
-
Laser Physical Therapy is a cutting-edge treatment bringing patients transformative pain relief and accelerated recovery. Developed with advanced technology, it signifies the future of non-invasive regenerative medicine. Laser treatment works to reduce pain, enhance tissue healing, reduce inflammation, and increase circulation by utilizing precise light energy, penetrating the involved tissues. This stimulates cell repair – driving faster recovery.
-Alleviate discomfort at the source, enabling patients to experience immediate and lasting relief from chronic and acute pain.
-Through photo-bio-modulation, laser therapy stimulates cellular activity, promoting faster tissue regeneration and optimized wound healing.
-By improving cellular metabolism, laser therapy effectively reduces inflammation, preventing further tissue damage and accelerating recovery.
-Laser therapy helps in vasodilation, increasing blood flow to treated areas, delivering essential nutrients
and oxygen to strengthen the healing process. -
Dry needling, a technique based on western medical research which addresses a variety of conditions, has become a vastly requested intervention by patients. Dry needling is a technique where we insert a very small, thin needle into a muscle to address trigger points in the body. Significant training goes into dry needling and CORE Physical Therapy offers this excellent treatment option.
-
Blood flow restriction training is a superb option for patients to improve strength and muscle activation while minimizing stress to the body (can be performed after surgery). BFR works by restricting—not occluding—underlying vasculature to create an oxygen deficit to the working muscles. This forces the muscles to work harder at a lower intensity which results in improved strength while respecting tissue healing principles.
-
Myofascial release is a type of physical therapy treatment in the form of massage that helps alleviate pain by relieving tension within the affected muscles. Cupping therapy is an ancient alternative medicine used in orthopedic physical therapy to treat pain, trigger points, and myofascial adhesions. Placing “cups” on the skin creating negative pressure, which pulls the underlying tissue away from the body, resulting in enhanced blood flow to the affected area.
-
Running is a well-studied movement pattern with research to identify stresses created by your individual running style. Whether focusing on your injury or looking to improve your performance; there are modifications that can be prescribed to reduce stress to the injured area and improve running efficiency to keep you on the track, trail, or road.
-
While treating throwing athletes for shoulder and/or elbow injuries, addressing movement and strength deficits may not be enough. Identifying excessive forces from within the throwing motion or limitations from less often viewed joints which contribute to the throwing motion and then making modifications to throwing mechanics can improve efficiency and reduce stress to the pointed area tissues.

CORE+More is specifically designed for patients who need beyond the traditional physical therapy; they need higher level performance rehabilitation to help them return to their sport or activity at their prior level of competition. This CORE+More Program will assess where each patient is in their recovery process and help adapt the exercises to fit their needs. The goal of this program is to functionally clear the athlete for full activity levels when they pass certain criteria indicating they are safe to return to their sport or activity. For individuals who have insurance limitations, CORE+More is offered as a discounted, cash-based group format with varying degrees of intensity to help meet the demands of both recreational and high-level athletes.
